The Results

More than 60,000 elementary and high school students participated in the Student Vote project for the 2018 local elections in British Columbia.

After learning about local government and the electoral process, exploring the issues and candidates, and discussing the election with family and friends, students cast ballots for their local government and school trustee candidates.

Based on current tallies, 60,834 ballots were cast by student participants from 538 schools, representing 105 municipalities and regional districts.
