Civic Programs for Engaged Youth

August 3rd, 2012 by Student Vote 1 Comment »

All across the country there are extra-curricular programs for youth who want to learn more about their government. From intensive immersion programs like Forums to interactive experiences like Youth Parliaments, there are many opportunities for young Canadians that we’d like to share with you. Many of these require advance applications and have age restrictions, so if interested you are suggested to contact the organization as soon as possible.

Forums

Youth Parliaments

(West coast to east coast)

Legislatures across the country also bring in youth to act as Pages. Visit your provincial legislature’s web site to see if this is a high school or university program, as it varies across the country.

If there are any programs we are missing from this list, please let us know!

One Response to Civic Programs for Engaged Youth

  1. It is very important to involve the youth in any civic activities to raise awareness of what’s happening around them.
