During the 2001 B.C. election, the British Columbia Action Party (BCAP) ran six candidates and received 1,718 total votes. The party was later de-registered by the Elections BC.

In 2013, a new party with the same name was registered. The primary focus of the party is to “provide the electorate of British Columbia an alternative that offers fiscally responsible, yet socially caring government.”

The party’s policy framework is comprised of nine key values: democracy, accountability, responsibility, compassion, respect, entrepreneurship, self-reliance, stewardship, and patriotism.

During the 2017 provincial election, the party ran two candidates and received 0.01% of popular vote.

Presently, the party’s leadership position is vacant.
