The Platinum Party of Employers Who Think and Act to Increase Awareness was founded in 2005. The current interim leader is Espavo Sozo.
The party wants to ensure that British Columbia has procedures in place to maintain a legitimate position of authority over the province’s commercial sector. Specifically, the party wants to guarantee that there is an adequate system of checks and balances regarding government employees and employment. These include sworn and signed oaths, bonds and securities, and lawful liability insurance.
The Platinum Party nominated eleven candidates in the 2005 BC election and garnered 0.05 percent of the popular vote. None were elected.
The party nominated only two candidates during the 2013 provincial election; however, the party did not win any seats and received less than 0.01 percent of the popular vote.
The party did not run any candidates during the 2017 provincial elections.
