Your Political Party of British Columbia (YPP) was founded in 2002 by leader James Filippelli. YPP nominated one candidate in the 2005 provincial election, two in 2009 and two in 2013; neither candidate was elected.

The party’s best result came in 2005 when Filippelli finished fourth in the Port Moody-Westwood riding with 442 votes. Filippelli was also enrolled as a college student full-time while running his campaign.

In the 2009 provincial election, Filippelli was joined by Brent Williams, who ran for the party in Port Coquitlam. Filippelli finished fourth in Port Moody-Westwood, Williams finished fifth.

During the 2013 provincial election, the party ran two candidates and received 0.03 percent of the popular vote.

The party nominated 10 candidates during the 2017 provincial election. The party did not capture any seats and received 0.06% of the popular vote.
