Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>STUDENT VOTE CANADA \u2014 2021 RESULTS SUMMARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>More than 800,000 elementary and high school students across the country participated in Student Vote Canada, coinciding with the 2021 federal election.<\/p>\n<p>After learning about democracy and elections, researching the parties and platforms, and debating the future of the country, students cast their ballots for the official candidates running in their school\u2019s electoral district.<\/p>\n<p>In total, 809,312 votes were reported from 5,988 schools, with results reported from all 338 federal electoral districts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Liberal Party<\/strong> won 118 seats and 24% of the popular vote, forming a minority government. <strong>Justin Trudeau<\/strong> won his seat in the riding of Papineau, QC.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>NDP<\/strong> won 108 seats and took 28% of the popular vote, forming the official opposition. <strong>Jagmeet Singh<\/strong> won his seat in the riding of Burnaby South, BC.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Conservative Party<\/strong> won 88 seats and 25% of the popular vote. <strong>Erin O\u2019Toole<\/strong> won his seat in the riding of Durham, ON.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Bloc Qu\u00e9becois<\/strong> won 21 seats and took 2% of the popular vote. <strong>Yves-Fran\u00e7ois Blanchet <\/strong>lost his seat in the riding of Beloeil\u2014Chambly, QC.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Green Party<\/strong> won 3 seats and 10% of the popular vote. <strong>Annamie Paul<\/strong> lost her seat in the riding of Toronto Centre, \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>STUDENT VOTE CANADA \u2014 2019 RESULTS SUMMARY<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>1.2 million elementary and secondary school students participated in Student Vote Canada 2019, coinciding with the 2019 federal election.<\/p>\n<p>After learning about the electoral process, researching the parties and platforms, and debating Canada\u2019s future, students cast their ballots for the official candidates running in their school\u2019s riding.<\/p>\n<p>In total, 1,199,939 votes were reported from 8,097 schools, with results from 338 federal ridings.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Liberal Party<\/strong> took 22.3% of the popular vote and won 111 seats, forming a minority government. <strong>Justin Trudeau<\/strong> won in his riding of Papineau.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>NDP<\/strong> will form the official opposition with 24.8% of the popular vote and 99 seats. <strong>Jagmeet Singh<\/strong> won his seat in Burnaby South.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Conservative Party<\/strong> took 25.1% of the popular vote and won 91 seats. <strong>Andrew Scheer<\/strong> won his seat in Regina\u2014Qu\u2019Appelle.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Green Party<\/strong> took 18.1% of the popular vote and won 27 seats. <strong>Elizabeth May<\/strong> won her seat in Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Bloc Qu\u00e9becois<\/strong> took 1.4% of the popular vote and won
