Current Programs

CIVIX is offering the following Student Vote programs coinciding with current or future general elections.

British Columbia provincial election

CIVIX is organizing a Student Vote parallel election coinciding with the 2024 provincial election on October 19. The program is available to all schools throughout the province and there is no cost to participate.

Registered teachers will receive a variety of learning materials and election tools to engage their students in the election and foster discussion about the parties and candidates.

Student Vote BC 2024 is presented in collaboration with Elections BC.

Nova Scotia municipal elections

CIVIX is organizing a Student Vote parallel election coinciding with the municipal elections on October 19, 2024. The program is available to all schools throughout the province and there is no cost to participate.

Registered teachers will receive a variety of learning materials and election tools to engage their students in the election and foster discussion about candidates.

The Student Vote program for the Nova Scotia municipal elections is supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the Government of Canada.

New Brunswick provincial election

CIVIX is organizing a Student Vote parallel election coinciding with the provincial election on October 21, 2024. The program is available to all schools throughout the province and there is no cost to participate.

Registered teachers will receive a variety of learning materials and election tools to engage their students in the election and foster discussion about the parties and candidates.

Student Vote New Brunswick 2024 is presented in partnership with Elections New Brunswick and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

Saskatchewan provincial election

CIVIX is organizing a Student Vote parallel election coinciding with the 2024 provincial election on October 28. The program is available to all schools throughout the province and there is no cost to participate.

Registered teachers will receive a variety of learning materials and election tools to engage their students in the election and foster discussion about the parties and candidates.

Student Vote Saskatchewan 2024 is funded by Elections Saskatchewan.
