The 42nd Canadian federal election is underway

Prime Minister Stephen Harper met with Governor General David Johnston today and the 42nd general election is now officially underway. Canadians will head to the polls on Monday, October 19.

If you haven’t already, this is a great opportunity to start following the campaign. The polls continue to show a tight race, and the first leaders’ debate takes place on Thursday evening.
