Registered schools will receive an election manual, ballot boxes, voting screens and ballots for the coordination of their Student Vote Day.

The Student Vote Election Manual provides suggestions on how to organize the voting process, including possible voting methods, election official roles for students, and guidelines for setting up your voting stations.

Submitting Your Results

The official Student Vote Days for the 2023 Alberta provincial election are Thursday, May 25, Friday, May 26 and Monday, May 29.

Please report your results by 4:00 p.m. MT on Monday, May 29.

School submissions received by the deadline will be included in the preliminary results shared on election night. Afterwards, the results will be updated daily with any submissions received after the deadline.

The Student Vote Alberta results will include the province-wide seat count and popular vote for each party, results by electoral division and individual school tallies.

IMPORTANT: All schools must keep their Student Vote results confidential until the end of voting on election day. Student election officials should be sworn to secrecy.
